JOIN our lifegroup as we take part in the annual Aid Sudan 5k on Saturday, April 25th. The race is located in Bear Creek Park, Pavilion 6, Houston, TX. Here is the itinerary for the race:
7:45 a.m. Children's 1k
8:00 a.m. Adult 5k race/fun walk
Strollers are welcome, and will be lined up at the back of the participants
$30 registration fee for adults
$10 registration fee for children
(Fee includes t-shirt)
You can sign up to take part in the race at www.aidsudan.org, or in the church's lobby this Sunday.
We are also working with Aid Sudan to man a refreshment tent where we need volunteers from our lifegroup to hand out bottled waters to the race participants. We will be taking up monetary donations in class this Sunday to purchase the bottled water. We appreciate ALL donations.
Please plan to take advantage of this opportunity for your entire family to take part in a local missions project. We need volunteers to:
- Run/walk the race
- Donate money for water and ice
- Man the refreshment tent
- Lend ice chests to hold the water
- Lend a 10x10 canopy for us to sit under
