August 15th Announcements & Prayer Requests

Thanks to Sam for bringing the lesson yesterday on How We Serve and for challenging everyone to plug-in and use the supernatural gift that God has given to you to serve in and through HAFBC. The Spiritual Gift Seminar at HAFBC was a great experience for everyone who attended and now we are all need to plug-in!

The impending season of fall means a lot of new events are happening in our life group and at HAFBC. Please read all of the announcements & prayer requests for this week.

PRAYER REQUESTS

1. Pray for Tessa's best friend from Alabama, Danielle, and her family. Her older brother, Bradley, was swimming in the ocean at Panama City Beach this weekend and was pulled under by a rip current. He drowned. He leaves behind a wife and a 19 year old daughter.

2. Pray for Drew's grandmother who is having surgery this week to remove an aneurism and for her recovery.

3. Praise for the birth of Will Stark!

4. Praise for the Corso's as they are expecting!

5. Prayer for the the Smith family to feel better.

6. Prayer for HAFBC and the search for our new pastor.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. August 22^nd - Welcome Back Sunday! Please arrive to class a little early to welcome all back all of our members we have not seen in a while and to meet the new visitors while we enjoy breakfast together. Remember to bring a breakfast food to share and we’ll have a good variety.

2.August 31^st –HAFBC Women’s Ministry begins the study of Revelations by Beth Moore. Studies will be offered on Tuesday morning and Tuesday evening and both offer complimentary childcare. Cost is $9 and you can register in the foyer today.

3.Sept. 1^st – The men’s bible study begins every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

4.School Supply Drive for the Sudanese children living in Houston begins today! Please bring your donations every Sunday and leave them in the bags/boxes in our classroom. The supplies will be delivered to the children on Sept 11^th by David & Danyel Humphrey during a big party for all of the children and we are all invited to attend.

5. PLAYGROUP on August 26th at 10:30 a.m. Meet and play at Chuck E Cheese

6. August 30 - GNO! Chick-Flick at 7 p.m. @ Kristen Jones' house! Dress comfy & bring a snack to share.

7.Marriage Conference, Saturday, September 11, 9 to 3. Discovering God's Vision for Your Marriage. The conference is designed for couples who desire to deepen their relationship with God. Go to our website to register at hafbc.com.

8.This fall’s bible studies offered at HAFBC: Discipleship Classes begin the end of August and first of September!
