February 1st Announcements

Class was great yesterday and so nice to see so many friendly faces. This week we challenged ourselves to constantly ABIDE/REMAIN in Christ throughout our entire day and not just during our quiet time. The lesson was on Luke 2:1-20.

Last night's Annual Super Bowl Party, hosted by the Starks, was a blast! Thanks to all who came to hang out with friends, eat yummy food and watch a good game!

Here are the announcements and prayer requests as mentioned in class yesterday. Be sure to read it all...there are several things offered this week to take part in with your friends from lifegroup.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. Feb 3rd @ 7 p.m. - TOMORROW NIGHT, Discovery Bible Study Series meets in the student bldg and tonight's speaker is HAFBC's own - Stuart Henslee! Stuart is our lead youth minister and has a true passion for God's word. He'll get you fired up tonight!

2. Feb 3rd @ 11:30 a.m. - Ladies' Lunch at La Madeleine's in Kingwood. RSVP to sabrina.m.stark@sbcglobal.net.

3. Feb 9th @ 9:30 a.m. - Preschool Playgroup Valentine Exchange at Jenna & Saige's house. Remember to RSVP to Jenna at jnhc99@yahoo.com. Don't forget to bring valentine cards from your little lovebug to all the other kiddos.

4. Feb 11th @ 9:30 a.m. - MOM2MOM meeting in the worship center. You must sign up for childcare by Feb 6th! Send email to mom2mom_hafbc@yahoo.com and sign up yourself and your kiddos. If you missed the last meeting in the fall, then you really missed a fun and special time with a LOT of other mom's in our church. I encourage all our stay-at-home moms to attend this awesome quarterly event. Jenna and Kathrine are definitely going!

5. Feb 11th @ 7 p.m. - GUYS NIGHT OUT!!! Plans are in the making as I type this message. Write the date in your calendar and plan to come hang out with the guys. Derek will send out more info very soon.

6. Feb 15th @4 p.m. - LEADERSHIP MTG! All class leaders (coordinators, teachers, shepherd group leaders, phone callers, social coordinators) are expected to attend. Childcare is provided, but you must sign up. Call the church at 281-446-8168 to sign up the kiddos or complete the form in class on Sunday.

PRAYER REQUESTS

1. Pray for Josh & Shelly Eldridge in all areas of their marriage, and Josh's search for a job.

2. Pray for Jeremy Williams as he makes decisions regarding some business opportunities in commercial real estate.

3. Pray for our lifegroup and our efforts to focus all of our relationships w/ spouses and friends on God.

4. Pray for Dave Warner as he continues his search for a new job.

5. Pray for Chris Pike as he continues his search for a new job.

6. Pray for the Boomers. (A general prayer request.)

7. Pray for Childers family as they travel this week to see in-laws.
