A Dinner For The Wives

A few months back, Paul came up with the genius idea to play host for a battle of the sexes bible trivia game. The overall loser would have to plan and execute a social for the winning team. After months of fierce competition in class and at class socials the wives prevailed and won the title of champs! Hooray!

Therefore this past Friday night the men held true to the bargain and hosted an incredible dinner for the wives. They set a beautiful table for us at Sam & Ginger's home (thank you so much to the Burks for opening up your home just a few weeks after becoming parents) and the men did all the decorating, shopping, preparations, cooking and cleaning! As a wife at the table, it felt wonderful to get to sit still and enjoy the dinner and fellowship. The menu was something you would see in a high-end restaurant: Gourmet Cheese Ball and Cracker hors 'd ouvre, Lump Crab Meat Avocado and Mango salad, Warm Spinach and Bean Salad, Southern Potato Casserole, Pan-Seared Scallops, Filet steaks, Spice Romano Chicken Casserole and it was all topped off with homemade Tiramisu and Lemon-Blueberry Cheesecake! YES! They really did cook all of it for us! It was amazing.

Being there and sharing this night together was a blessing for all who were involved. Thanks friends...can't wait to do it again GUYS! ;0)
