1. Feb 21 - ASK AND PRAY SESSION WITH PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND THE CHURCH IS ASKING EVERYONE TO ATTEND. It will be at 4 p.m. in the worship center.
2. Feb 22 - Meals begin for the Davis's for those of you that signed up.
   
3. Feb 22 - GNO! Pajama-Jammy-Jam at Elizabeth's house. GIRLS NIGHT OUT! RSVP to the evite or sabrina.m.stark@sbcglobal.net
4. Feb 28 - She Celebrates, hosted by the women's ministry of HAFBC. This is the women-only corporate time of worship and devotional that the church hosts monthly.
5. Mar 3 - Men's ministry corporate worship and devotional for ALL the men at HAFBC.
6. Mar 10 - Guy's night. Be looking for an email

Prayer Requests

1. Please continue to pray for Nicole B.'s grandmother who has had internal bleeding.
   
2. Derek B.'s grandmother has cancer so please pray for quick healing.
3. Laura Sanders sister's baby was born Friday and is having irregular breathing.
4. Continue to pray for all the expecting mommies.
5. Derek and Crystal will be expecting their son any day now!
   

February 14th Announcements

Howdy lifegroup members!

Yesterday was another great Sunday to come together at HAFBC for bible study. Thanks to Paul for the lesson in the book of Acts and to everyone that took part in the class discussion. We had 18 in class. The church has a lot going on in the next month, so please read all the way to the end. Here are the announcements and prayer requests for the week.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

2. Feb 17th - Ladies' bible study at 6:30 in room 2209 and Fresh Truth 6-week study for the men in room 2208

PRAYER REQUESTS

1. Please pray for Clay's brother, Tim, was attacked by a dog. He is having facial reconstructive surgery. He is in Colorado Springs preparing for seminary and was attacked by the family dog of the family he is living with in CO.
2. Please pray for Derek & Crystal as they anticipate the birth of their son, any day now!
3. Please pray for all the pregnant women in our class and their babies on board.
4. Pleaes pray for Drew's uncle, Rick, he is in his early 40's and suffered a heart attack last week.
5. Please pray for Drew and his potential travel to Connecticut for work.
6. Please pray for our church's search for a pastor and for God to prepare the heart of the man He has in His plan to lead HAFBC.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

2. Haiti Survivor Support the church is providing funds for Haitian relief. If you would like to help out please go to the church's website. www.hafbc.com
3. Fresh Truth Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 with Johnny Buckles. Class will be in room 2208.
4. SheCelebrates is Sunday, February 28. A light meal will be provided at 5:30. Service starts at 6 p.m.
5. Ask and Pray is Sunday, February 21. A day of prayer for our pastor search committee. Classes will have a silent prayer followed by a public prayer. This will also occur during both services. Everyone is invited back to the church at 4 p.m. to have a question and answer time with the pastor search committee. Again, everyone is encouraged to come so we hope to see you there!
6. Girlfriends by Grace every Wednesday at 6:30. The ladies will continue to be reading "Calm My Anxious Heart" by Linda Dillow in room 2209.

January 31 Announcements

ANNOUNCEMENTS:


1. MOM2MOM is a great menor ministry for mothers of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The next meeting is Feb 17th at 9:30 a.m. You need to RSVP and sign up for childcare by Feb 12th. Send an email to mom2mom_hafbc@yahoo.com.

2. Fresh Truth: Bringing Ancient Stories to Life. Beginning Wednesdays, at 6:45 - 7:45 the church will be offering training for all LifeGroup teachers and anyone else who desires to discover or improve teaching skills. Johnny Buckles will be leading the 6 week study. You can sign-up in your LifeGroup or email Rick Whitaker at rwhitaker@hafbc.com. Anyone is welcome to attend.

3. Guy's Night - Tuesday, February 9th, 6:30 Come join the fellas as the play poker at Matt Corso's house. Be expecting an evite from Derek Boomer with more details.

4. H2H is Saturday, February 6th from 8:30 to noon. H2H is our church’s ministry for local missions. We can choose a local missions project to participate in that day. If you would like to coordinate this event for our lifegroup, please contact Jenna at jnhc99@yahoo.com or talk to her in class.

6. SUPER BOWL OF CARING, Sunday, Feb 7– Bring one canned food item or $1 to donate during the worship service to this collaborative missions effort for the hungry in Houston.

7. Men! Beginning Wednesday, February 3 from 6:45 to 7:45 the men of HAFBC will be meeting monthly in the Worship Center for a night that focuses on scripture and the challenges it offers to men. Stuart Henslee will be challenging men in their daily walk with the Lord. From this gathering of men, we will be forming weekly mentoring groups of 7 men or less. The purpose of the groups will be to share life together with the intention of building strong bonds of friendship and accountability around God's Word. Watch for more details to follow.

8. Women! She Celebrates is scheduled for Sunday night, Feb. 28th.

9. Feb 7th @ 4:30 p.m. the Starks are hosting their 5th Annual Super Bowl Party. Check your Evite, RSVP, vote for what you want to eat, and see all the details. If you need more info, please contact Paul at paul.d.stark@sbcglobal.net.

10. Come to Texas Roadhouse, Saturday Feb. 6 from 11am -4 pm. Show your flyer while there and 10% will go towards a man from our church getting a heart transplant. Please contact the church if you did not receive a flyer. Copies can be made!

PRAYER REQUESTS:

1. Pray for the Davis family as Kim was induced this morning (Monday). Pray that Kim and baby Katelyn have a smooth, healthy delivery.
2. Pray for those who are sick.
3. Keep those traveling in your prayers.
