January 24th Announcements
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Haiti Survivor Support: Sunday in our worship services we will have a special time of prayer for our Haitian friends. Our church through the Cooperative Program is presently providing funds for Haitian relief. For additional personal donations please go to our website (www.hafbc.com) to donate to one of three organizations that are having a major impact in Haiti both physically and spiritually - Samaritans Purse, World Vision, International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
2. MOM2MOM is a great menor ministry for mothers of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The next meeting is Feb 17th at 9:30 a.m. You need to RSVP and sign up for childcare by Feb 12th. Send an email to mom2mom_hafbc@yahoo.com.
3. Fresh Truth: Bringing Ancient Stories to Life. Beginning Wednesdays, at 6:45 - 7:45 the church will be offering training for all LifeGroup teachers and anyone else who desires to discover or improve teaching skills. Johnny Buckles will be leading the 6 week study. You can sign-up in your LifeGroup or email Rick Whitaker at rwhitaker@hafbc.com. Anyone is welcome to attend.
4. GNO! – Girls Night Valentine Cookie Decorating, January 25th @ 7 p.m. An Evite has been sent out with all the details. If you need an Evite or have any questions contact Sabrina at sabrina.m.stark@sbcglobal.net.
5. H2H is Saturday, February 6th from 8:30 to noon. H2H is our church’s ministry for local missions. We can choose a local missions project to participate in that day. If you would like to coordinate this event for our lifegroup, please contact Jenna at jnhc99@yahoo.com or talk to her in class.
6. SUPER BOWL OF CARING, Sunday, Feb 7– Bring one canned food item or $1 to donate during the worship service to this collaborative missions effort for the hungry in Houston.
7. Men! Beginning Wednesday, February 3 from 6:45 to 7:45 the men of HAFBC will be meeting monthly in the Worship Center for a night that focuses on scripture and the challenges it offers to men. Stuart Henslee will be challenging men in their daily walk with the Lord. From this gathering of men, we will be forming weekly mentoring groups of 7 men or less. The purpose of the groups will be to share life together with the intention of building strong bonds of friendship and accountability around God's Word. Watch for more details to follow.
8. Women! She Celebrates is scheduled for Sunday night, Feb. 28th.
9. Feb 7th @ 4:30 p.m. the Starks are hosting their 5th Annual Super Bowl Party. Check your Evite, RSVP, vote for what you want to eat, and see all the details. If you need more info, please contact Paul at paul.d.stark@sbcglobal.net.

1. Matt C is a firefighter and he rescued a 21 year old girl who was dead, they were able to bring her back and she is currently in the hospital.
2. Derek A.'s sister has a c-section scheduled for this Friday.

1. GUYS NIGHT, BOWLING, this Tuesday night, Jan 19th at 7 p.m. at MAX BOWL on Wilson Road. Address: 2390 Wilson Road, Humble.
2. Girlfriends By Grace bible study, Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in Room 2209. Join all the women from our lifegroup for bible study every Wednesday night. We are on the fifth week of a 12-week study entitled Calm My Anxious Heart, by Linda Dillow.

- Praise! Laura's, Paul, brother is getting over having rabies. Continue to pray for him as he leaves for Haiti.

- Pray for Dustin C.'s brother has he travels to Afghanistan for work.
- Pray for the Greenfield's ultrasound to show a healthy baby this Monday.

January 10th Announcements
Thanks to Paul for our lesson on the role of the Holy Spirit from the book of Acts. Our new study, Ekklesia- The Unstoppable Movement of God, began in January and we are headed into week three. The study will last the full year and the book is available downstairs in the library (which is next to the welcome desk on the North side) for $5.
We've got a lot going on, so be sure to read to the end and see you all soon!

PRAYER REQUESTS - Please keep the following requests in your prayers this week:
1. Dustin's company and decisions he has to make in his job.
2. Derek's company and decisions he has to make in his job.
3. Kim's dad has Parkinson's disease and is starting his medications.
4. Kristen J. has been diagnosed with toxemia and is hospitalized until their baby is born.
5. Derek's grandmother has been diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, lymph nodes and esophagus. She is undergoing light chemo because of her age.
6. Nicole B.'s friend's father has a degenerative spine disease and is undergoing surgery again to fix complications from his last surgery.
7. Sabrina's grandpa will be having knee surgery soon.
8. Laura's brother, Paula, was bitten by a rat and contracted rabies. He is in the US Coast Guard and receiving medical care.

January 3rd Announcements
- Fresh Start Sunday - Jan. 10. Since it is the beginning of the year it is the perfect time to start the year off right and get back in the swing of things. Please call, email, text, etc. your friends and invite them to join in on our fellowship or get reconnected if they haven't been in awhile. Get there early and get ready to worship!
- Fresh Truth: Bringing Ancient Stories to Life - Beginning Jan 20 from 6:45-7:45. Lead by Johnny Buckles. Teacher training for all LifeGroup teachers and anyone else who desires to discover or improve their teaching skills. Johnny is an amazing teacher so make sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
- Kim and Elizabeth's Diaper Shower - Jan 10 @ 4 p.m. Come celebrate with Kim and Elizabeth at Nicole B.'s house as they welcome their second babies!
