March 29th Announcements

Happy Monday to all of our friends in the CBS Lifegroup! Thank you to Paul for being such an extraordinary teacher and bringing us another good lesson yesterday morning on Helping Others Find Christ - Jesus and The Woman At The Well- John 4:4-26. If you missed class, you missed a great lesson, and we all missed you! Here are the announcements and prayer requests as mentioned in class yesterday. Enjoy your week and remember to live for Christ each day of the week...not just on Sundays.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • Next week we will be starting a new style of lesson delivery in class. Paul will be taking a break until mid-summer to rejuvenate and refresh, and so our class will be setup more like a Bible Study format. Dustin & Derek will facilitate discussion, and member involvement will be very important. Therefore, please bring your Christos books to class each week, as we will follow their weekly lesson plan each Sunday. If you do not have a book, they are available in the library for $5 each and the church library is open both during the week and on Sundays.
  • Mar 31st -Ladies' Lunch is at Spring Creek BBQ at 11:30 on Tuesday. RSVP to sabrina.m.stark@sbcglobal.net.
  • April 5th -4-6 p.m. HAFBC churchwide leadership meeting. All lifegroup leaders are expected to attend.
  • April 8th - Mom2Mom meeting from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at HAFBC in worship center. Hilde Chandler will be the speaker. You MUST send an email to mom2mom_hafbc@yahoo.com by APRIL 3rd if you need childcare at the church.
  • April 8th - 2W7 - GUYS NIGHT! Details will be emailed out from Derek. rsvp to derek.boomer@hatchmott.com
  • Easter Sunday, April 12th, there will be two church services offered at 9 & 11 a.m. There will be NO LIFEGROUPS!
  • April 17th - Class social at 7 p.m.! Mark you calendars. You must sign up for complimentary childcare the Sunday BEFORE the social.
  • May 1 & 2 - GOD'S BLUEPRINT FOR MARRIAGE SEMINAR at HAFBC. We are really hoping and praying that ALL of our couples sign up for this super important event. All marriages, good and struggling, need to take part in events that rejuvenate and educate you and your spouse on how to have a Christ-centered marriage. Please plan to attend this seminar with us. The cost is $50 and includes your literature, breakfast and lunch. If you want to attend, email Jenna at jnhc99@yahoo.com as soon as possible to reserve your seats.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Paul & Sabrina will be traveling to OK for a wedding this week.
  • Shanell (Sabrina's sister) and her fiance Bunkie will be getting married this weekend.
  • Julie (Jenna's sister who lives in the Czech Rep) just found out she is expecting their fourth child and will be giving birth in a Czech hospital this fall.
  • Jeremy & Laurie welcomed their son Logan this past Monday. All are at home and adjusting well to having a second child in their family.
  • Pray for all of our class members that are searching for employment.
  • Please continue to pray for our church as we seek a full-time pastor.

March 22 Announcements

Hello All!


Class was great, Sunday! Paul did a great job talking on the story of Nicodemus and Jesus. The lesson was from John 3: 1-21 if you wanna look it up and you weren't there!

Prayers
  • The Huffs need lots of sleep, especially with Kevin working so much.
  • Elise Huff has a specialist appointment March 30th. Pray everything goes smooth.
  • Paul Stark's sister, Karen, got a new, better job in Dallas!
  • Stefanie Corso is a high school teacher and one of her students didn't come home yesterday after school. The teachers met with the parents this morning and they said she never came home. Please be praying for her safety and that she'll return home soon.

Annoucements

  • Girl's Night Out is Wednesday night, 25, at 7 p.m. at Jenna Childer's house! The girls will be putting herb gardens together and having a good time! If you didn't receive an e-vite please email Sabrina Stark at sabrina.m.stark@sbcglobal.net.

  • Logan Williams was born Monday, March 23! Mommy and baby are healthy! Meals start this Thursday so be watching your calendar if you signed up to help.

  • March 29th is our 2nd annual Children's Day at HAFBC. Sunday morning is I "NOAH" Friend day. All preschoolers, Grades K to 3 and JAM children are asked to bring a friend and enter that morning 2 by 2 just like Noah and the animals entered the Ark. The morning will include a petting zoo, meeting Mr. and Mrs. Noah, seeing how big the ark really was, and lessons on how God keeps his promises.Sunday night we are so excited to have GO FISH in concert beginning at 6pm. Concert tickets are $7 each and are on sale now.

  • Easter Sunday, April 12th services are at 9 and 11. There will be no LifeGroups.

  • The Other Six Days Conference, Sunday, April 19: Pastor David Cox's ministry team (The Other 6 Days ministry team) from North Carolina will be present with us for a unique worship service experience that morning and specialized training during our LifeGroup classes with a special focus on workplace ministry...how the Kingdom of God is going forward in the culture of America's marketplace and workplaces of all kinds. In the afternoon, a menu of seminars will be offered beginning at 3:00 p.m.to assist you personally in living out your faith in your individual workplace or wherever the Lord has you serving from day to day. Remember, not everyone has a job but everyone has a calling! Plan now to attend to find out what God has to say about where and how you are spending the other six days of your life.

  • Missions Weekend, April 25-26: Saturday and Sunday April 25th and 26th all members of HAFBC will have an awesome opportunity to be personally involved in missions, both locally and globally. Saturday, the focus will be on local missions. All LifeGroups and the Student ministry will have the opportunity to develop and perform their own service projects. Childcare will be provided for our preschoolers till noon and Cathy Rucker will have mission activities for our children. We will meet at 8:30 for breakfast and prayer and then head out into the community to serve and glorify God. Sunday, world missions will be our focus both in our LifeGroups and in the worship service. This weekend has the potential to be life-changing for all involved. Please be in prayer for this exciting weekend and how you may be involved.

  • Next Blue Print for Marriage Conference is May 1-2: After launching our first in-house marriage conference, led by Chris and Lydia Lewis, 2 months ago, the 52 participants gave it a resounding thumbs up. Most expressed that they would definitely do it again. The next scheduled conference is in May. Although any couple of any age is welcome to attend, this conference is primarily geared toward our younger adults and their LifeGroups.

  • Christos books are available in the bookstore for $5.

March 15th Announcements

Howdy! Here are the announcements and prayer requests for this week! We hope to see everyone back next Sunday! God bless y'all!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. GNO! (GIRLS NIGHT OUT) March 25th @ 7 p.m. at Jenna's house. It's a garden party! Please bring a light snack to share and join us as we make herb gardens together. Get as simple or as ellaborate as you like with your garden. Kits can be found at most any garden center near your home. RSVP to sabrina.m.stark@sbcglobal.net.

2. March 29th is our 2nd annual Children's Day at HAFBC. Sunday morning is I "NOAH" Friend day. March 8th Announcements

Hello Lifegroup Members! We hope that by now everyone has turned their clock forward and is into a new routine. The extra sunshine in the evenings is fabulous! GO FISH Concert for kiddos is March 29 @ 6 p.m. Tickets are $7 and kids under two are FREE!

Easter Sunday, April 12th, there will be two services. One at 9 a.m. and one at 11 a.m. NO LIFEGROUPS ON EASTER SUNDAY.

NEW MARRIAGE MINISTRY at HAFBC.

Marriage Retreat for our lifegroup will be on May 1st and 2nd. The theme is " God's Blueprint For Marriage". It will be $50/couple and the fee includes the cost of your books, breakfast on Sat and Lunch on Sat. Childcare will be provided on Fri night, but not on Saturday (but the church will offer a list of students from our youth group for hire to babysit your children at home). Dustin & I will be attending the retreat and we'd love to sit with a group from our class. Please let Jenna know if you plan to attend by emailing her at jnhc99@yahoo.com. March 1 Announcements/Prayer Requests

Hey guys! It was good to see everyone at church today. Paul brought a great lesson on Jesus being tempted by Satan and how we are also tempted. Missed everyone who didn't make it.

Prayer Request

  • Continue to pray for Nicole Brian's health and possible preparation for another surgery on her thyroid.
  • Pray for the Williams as they are getting ready to welcome Logan into the world.
  • Pray for Corban Rushing. Since having tubes placed in his ears, his hearing has not improved; therefore, he is having a hearing test done this Thursday.
  • Please pray for Ginger & Travis Young. They are friends of Jeremy & Laurie Williams and Ginger just found out she has breast cancer.
